Needle Felting: Sea Otter - SOLD OUT

Learn everything you need to know to begin needle felting with artist Jennifer McCarthy, owner of The Felted Bee. Grab a friend and learn the art of needle felting in a supportive and relaxing environment. In this beginner friendly workshop, you will learn skills and techniques specific to needle felting as well as how to make your own needle felted work of art. All materials, tools and 2 hours of instruction included in your class fee.
Needle felting is a technique of using a very sharp, barbed needle to repeatedly stab into the wool to create felt. The wool becomes tangled and snarled and compressed by the needle to create various three dimensional forms.
4 students are required for the class to meet.

Instructor Bio: | Jennifer McCarthy is the artist, designer and owner of The Felted Bee, a small felting studio on the South Shore of MA. Jennifer has a background in painting, sculpture and art education. After taking a needle felting class 10 years ago, Jennifer fell in love with the magic of wool and all the ways you can create with the medium. She shares her passion for wool by teaching classes & workshops throughout New England, designing DIY needle felting kits and creating one of a kind works of art. When not working with wool, she paints with oil & wax, tends to her many gardens and teaches yoga. |
