Family Crochet for Beginners

In this hands-on workshop, you will learn the basics of crochet, including how to hold the hook and yarn, make a slip knot, chain stitch, and create simple projects. We will provide all the materials you need and guide you step-by-step as you start your very first project such as a small square and if time permits, even the beginning of a cute scarf.

| Instructor Bio: | Hello! I’m Cindy, the founder and crocheter behind Fresh Cut Yarn.
My love for crocheting began when I was a little girl. I remember watching my mom crochet a beautiful pink and white blanket for my bed, and I was determined to make something special too. While she worked on the blanket, I asked her to teach me how to make a dress for my Barbie. I was focused, excited, and just so happy to be creating something with my hands alongside my mom. In the end, she finished a stunning blanket, and I made a dress that looked more like a mummy wrapped Barbie, but I was so proud of it! Crocheting has brought me so much joy and peace ever since. These days, some of my favorite moments are spent curled up on the couch, crocheting cute little animals while watching a movie with my husband and our pup. |
